Two of the University of Michigan football team’s finest will reunite Sunday, but this time on opposite sides of the field.T

he Detroit Lions’ own Aidan Hutchinson will face former teammate now Los Angeles Ram Blake Corum in each team’s season opener in the national spotlight on Sunday Night Football. Corum, 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship Game Offensive MVP and two-time All American, was selected in the third round in this past draft.

“Blake — he was tough going against in practice at Michigan,” Hutchinson said, recalling the few years the two played together. “It’s always funny getting to play against your old teammates and he’s a Michigan all-time legend. He’s a great player and I’m looking forward to it.”

The Rams finished the 2023 regular season with the 11th most rushing yards. They’ll be up against a Detroit team that allowed the second-fewest rushing yards last season.
